i used acetone to rinse my sherpa fibreglass tank before coating and its still holding up well, its had fuel in it for 10 months and no sign of breaking down.
I cant think of anybody offhand, most are down South. I think your best bet is either send it away or try and do it yourself, its not impossible but can be time consuming.
I have a duplex clutch basket 38t etc same dimensions as you mentioned, its an alloy sprocket with steel basket attached i am unsure if it is what you are looking for but pm me and i can take some pics if you wish.
Does anybody recognise this rear brake plate, It's 133mm across shoes 12mm spindle numbers inside? Part number who knows. 340.16.002.03 montesa ktm husky?
Woody i have the correct wheel i think, but am short of a brake plate i will start a new thread as don't want to hijack this thread and see if you can id it.
That's a small rear sprocket which will make the gearing very high, standard gearing is 11/46 on a 520 chain. It looks like a later wheel with conical type hub is fitted along with later forks and yokes. Shock top mounts have also been re-positioned slightly lower and forward and gussets added in front of them (not criticism, just observation)
You might want to consider re-routing the wiring out of the casing bottom and move it higher to the front as on later bikes as there is always a chance it could get crushed between the bashplate and engine and break with a hard hit on a rock (common on Ossa MAR)
if there is a chance the wiring gets crushed under the bashplate i hope i am not on the bike at the time!
My work in progress! Barrel is damaged but I have a spare waiting on a rebore after lockdown. Needs tidying but runs and starts well with mikuni. frame number B4900444 engine number is higher but closer to your frame number, is it true they weren't matching at the time because of tax reasons?
I'm in Australia and have a spare I would sell but freight to the UK would be expensive. It is the type shown in Vintagenut's photo but not as nice as that one.
Beware, there are two types. The early M49s saddle/bridge/sidecovers didn't have the scallop for clearance of the top shock mount (because the shock mount location was further back)
Thanks for the reply mines the early version but going to get that one and make do! its not for a show pony.

i think he means hold throttle full open when kicking engine over to let max air in to cylinder.
