  1. Reducing rebound damping is usually not the answer. While you may believe it will help, it doesn't. It makes the process too quick to keep up with. The body(knees) motion to hop is rather slow in reality. If you watch the Ryan Young basics video where he shows hopping the front end, he repeats 'down and back' at a rather slow pace in conjunction with his movement.
  2. Check to make sure the muffler isn't rubbing the spring. I had the same annoying noise, pulled the entire rear linkage apart, only to discover the muffler was rubbing slightly.

    Wiring ?

I recently picked up an 07 Sy250 and looked everywhere for a wiring diagram to no avail. I prefer as little extra wiring as possible. Decided to attempt removal without a diagram. The majority of the extras were already removed but the harness that goes to the front and the one to the rear were still attached. Red wires There were a number of red wires feeding into the front harness. Peel the wrapping off the front harness. There will be a junction of red wires. Clip the two that go to the two connectors on the front harness. Leave the rest of the juction or shorten and rejoin if you prefer. Black wires There is a black wire feeding into the front harness and one feeding into the rear. Remove a small (about 3 inch) covering on the wires near the top of shock you will see a junction of black wires. Cut the two wires at the junction that go to the front and rear harness. Leave the rest of the juction. Now the harness going front and rear can be removed. Seal up any exposed wire ends. The pervious poster said they removed the capacitor, but I was told not to or the fan will stop at higher revs.
  4. I'm replacing a main bearing as well ( flywheel side). When you pressed in the bearing where did you line the hole in the outer race of the bearing with. There seems to be two oil passages (one at about 10 oclock or so and one at 7 oclock or so when looking from the inside of the left case to the outside?
  5. In NATC, both situations would be 5s. Failure: one of many ways-- "The handlebar of the motorcycle touches the ground.
  6. MotoMax, I was going to reply with the same answer. My friend has an 03 and the same thing happened . It would run fine in a section. Hit the trail, it would start starving, etc. He checked jetting, carb etc. Finally pulled petcock apart and the rubber seal was offset slightly. No problems thereafter.
  7. Sorry flying. I doubt they'd let me bring as a carry on, and I don't think you'd want after delivery from 30,000 feet.
  8. Ringo, I was wondering if you were still out there. Haven't seen you shaking up the pot as of late. Thanks for the info. I found the points after my last post and saw the number of riders. I'm hoping to do a little spectating and see trials the SoCal way. I'm from the Northeast (Neta). Thanks again all that responded.
  9. Thanks MotoMickey, Would you know are the ITS events just with people that attended the school or is it a larger (e.g. 50 riders or more) event?
  10. I'm going to be in the Carlsbad/San Diego area the weekend of Oct 23/24. I wondering if there were any trials going on in the area so I could see how it is done on the west coast. Can anyone guide me to a sanctioning or club website please? Thanks
