  1. Hi, i run a scorpa works 1995 and the gear oil was 600ml. manuals can't find one but Peter Knight of peter knight powersport www.rotax.co.uk and he should be able to help. Bleeding the brakes i had to do recently and was told to take out rubber gromet thing from brake resivoir and make sure it is full, put lid back on. Get a spanner that fits the brake nipple and undo but just tighten it so fluid can't escape fit some clear hose on to nipple. Now it gets repetative. 1) push down on brake pedal. Dont release pedal. 2) open bleed nipple, you should see fluid with air in it. hold for a couple of seconds then close nipple. 3) release brake pedal. Repeat until no air is coming out and it is just fluid. Make sure you check resivoir does not run dry, top up as needed. Once finished put rubber gromet back. It took me about 15 - 20 mins to do. If in doubt check out sherco forum, top post manuals and find how to do it otherways. fuel/oil i put 75ml oil to 5l fuel. Hope this helps. Steve

  9. Hi all, I keep reading about slow and fast throttles, I confess to not knowing what the difference is. Can anyone tell me what is the difference, how can i tell what is on my bike. The throttle turns 1/4 rotation on my bike and my sons Sherco 125 turns about 1/3rd rotation. What are there benifits of either. Thanks Steve

  12. Hi, just thinking as one does once in a while what is the best 250? I know all bikes will ride differently and that is down to how you feel but which one is best for owning. Are different years better than others, like Sherco 2007 is alot better than 2006 so they say. Parts are some makes better than others having them in. Maintenace is one better than the rest on cost or ease. Are all 250 engines the same or are some smoother or are some more punchy. JUst wondering!! Steve
  13. Hi posted thread asking for info on where the drain hole is for the oil thinking i knew where the fill hole was, wrong!!!!! The engine is a Rotax 290 in a 1995 model. Anyone know and is there a workshop manual for this bike as i am sure i will need more info as time goes on. Thanks Steve
