  1. Still love to watch Cabes, technically he's probably the best to watch (and be able to relate to as what Bou does defies gravity and logic) but hes not the quickest so qualifying has been his downfall in 2017.

Think he's 37 or 38 so doeen't make much sense Vertigo taking him ir him leaving Sherco.

  2. Strange one. Fajardo looks good on the Vertigo and Dibs looks better than ever on the Gas Gas - maybe both on GG with equal billing??
Seems no matter where Dabill goes, Fajardo then comes and dislodges him as number 1 team rider....

Wonder when (if) this will be announced and will it spark any other rider moves.

Would definitely give GG a strong team if they all stayed - Dabill / Fajardo / Grattarola / Kadlec.

Only riders I would see then moving would be (maybe) Dabill going back to Vertigo or them signing an 'up and coming rider' which really only leaves Gelebert or Kadlec from the trial GP riders.

Gubian and Karlsson have both pulled out (I think) of doing the Trial GP champs. Ferrer seems to be going backwards, Casales is Beta no.1 and with Gubian pulling out will be their only rider.

Either nothing will happen or lots could happen.

  3. I have ridden at expert level on 300's for years -

3x Raga Rep Gas Gas and now an Ossa Factory 300

I had long rides on both 250 and 300 at the John Lee / Vertigo test day and would say that for 99% of the riders the 250 Vertigo is more than enough.

I clearly like a 300 motor and while it's definitely torquey I thinks too much for most.

the 250 was amazing across all the engine modes and conditions  whereby I found the 300 to be a lot less manageable / too snappy / fierce / excessive in a few situations.

I'm very seriously thinking of one and would only consider a 250.

be worth you trying to get a ride on both though. If in any doubt opt for 250 though I'd say

  4. Now that Fajardo is confirmed on Vertigo next year does this mean a strong 3 pronged WTC assault from

Vertigo with - Fajardo, Dabill, Moret??

Or, now that Gas Gas been resurrected - I assume with no major WTC rider other than Michael Brown (if doing WTC) - is there a chance Dabill could lead the 'new' Gas Gas team in WTC??

  5. €1000 euros more than others puts it circa €8000 or £5800-£6000

    Sound about right?

If they're good that's ok I guess, but need to be a chunk better than Beta, Sherco etc and also TRS and any possible new Gasser in terms of rideability and support to sell.

  6. That could be a match made in heaven.

    Raga and Top Trial Team.

They always produce stunning, exclusive bikes that are meticulously finished. If they can sort a bike and a deal moving forwards that would be a big coup and publicity for Michele and trials in whole.

I expect Raga will go TRS for next year BUT if Top Trial / what's left of Gas Gas can sort bike / bits etc then who knows?

Certainly another very good option for Adam as Top Trial been around a while and are well funded.

  7. Sad but true, plus it's cheap I guess

I do triathlon and believe me trials is a LOT cheaper!

Am doing Ironman UK in July - £400 entry fee.

Add in winter bike (for wet training), road bike, TT bike, all the kit, wetsuit, all the kit, running gear, all the associated accessories, food, food, food while training and it's a very expensive sport and one that NEVER stops taking. I guess all in I'm well over £10,000 of kits and always getting more.

You can easily do £10,000+ on a bike, £3000+ on wheels and so on.

It's accessible yes - can swim, ride and run anywhere and there's lake a plenty for OW swimming. You can, as with trials, also do on a much smaller budget which helps to attract a wider audience.

Compare that to trials - less and less land available all the time and frowned upon because it's 'noisy and bad for environment'

Trials has a bigger problem in the UK - clear to see when you look at the support the Spanish and French riders had at Penrith.

I'm itching to get back on my bike after IMUK, so is my wallet
