    Evo Rear Wheel

All you do Eddie is: remove existing disc (ours is a 07 Beta wheel) and replace with Evo disc with washers behind. Make sure your bolts are long enough for threads. Fit a spacer the same as the sprocket side. Check disc fits exactly in centre of brake. If not, change washers behind disc to suit. Locktite on. Job done!

    Evo Rear Wheel

Andy Metcalf Motorcycles (Tel 01642 475600) obtained mine. As I said earlier it comprises of new disc, washers to go behind, and 2 new spacers (which are the same size as the sprocket side). The washers supplied were too thick and the bolts need replacing with slightly longer ones to get more thread, but small points when it saves buying a new wheel. I can't really understand the problem since there is only a slight difference between last years spec and the new evo. If I did another one I would just order a disc and an extra sprocket side spacer and dig up the rest of the bits in the garage. Our wheel has now done 3 weeks practice and yesterdays Brit Championship practice day without any problems.

    Evo Rear Wheel

No problem Nigel. Simon has rode todays practice for tomorrow's Brit Championship on it. We got the kit fitted ( and 290 bike) from Andy Metcalf Motorcycles Tel 01642 475600. The wheel has been our spare for our 07 and 08 250 Betas. One's for sale if you know of anyone.. dont mind which one I keep, both great!

08 rear wheel fits fine, I ordered a kit but a new disc, 4 washers, and an extra spacer from the sprocket side will do the trick. My kit was catching on one side of the rear brake due to the spacer washers supplied being too thick.
  10. Congratulations also to Scarborough rider Andy Chilton in Youth A for coming in on the best score of 42. Great ride!
  11. I have put a rough copy of the results on our Scarborough web-site. Great trial. http://www.scarboroughdmc.co.uk/new/files.php?type=X
  12. Well you can either catch it or dive out the way I will have my camera, so make them spectacular Rob! By the way Rob, dont forget there are loads of prizes, besides oils, gloves, etc, there is Diadora Boots from Apico, Novagar Boots from Dan Clark, Ritratto Sport set of riding gear from Birkett Motor Sport... so dont lark about too much!

  14. 2dayridesList.pdfStart Time Saturday: 1pm. Start time Sunday 10am.
  15. Yes Lew, it should be a fantastic weekend if it comes anywhere near last years event. New for this year is that it could be held under the FIM rules, which means riders can show-off all their trick-riding, and balance and hop about to their hearts content, which should be excelent fun. I can also confirm there will be a Youth Novice course for A & B riders who prefer an easier route but still want to compete for cups and prizes. The support from our sponsors last year was great, with loads of prizes for the riders which was much appreciated. Our new web-site will give a big thank-you to them after this years event with links and product details etc. which will remain on throughout the year. The closing date is the 23rd July and besides your entry we need an ACU Parental Agreement form which you can download off our site as well. http://www.scarboroughdmc.co.uk/new/
  16. Dates have been changed for the East Yorks 2-Day to the 7th and 8th October. All their young helpers would have been at the National at Hook Woods.
  17. From Scarborough, head towards Kirby then take the the Blakey Road for Hutton-le-Hole. Go through Hutton and just before the Lion Inn take a left turn. Should be a good trial.

  19. It's gonna be the boards in the afternoon lewis. We could arrange somebody to stand with you for a while to show you how to go on. It would be a great help. Thanks.
  20. It would be good if you could help with the observing in the afternoon Lewis, it's always a bit of a struggle with 2 on the same day.
  21. Rob, you are already registered with your mums email address. That could be the problem. Please contact me through the Sdmc site if you still have trouble.
  22. The Jason Kirkwood trial is a "Hard and Easy" Trophy trial.. not just for beginners. The Hard course will be set out for more like Clubman A etc. The next trial set out like our Wednesday Night series will be the Bonfire Night Trial on the 5th November (for once), followed by hotdogs, bonfire and fireworks display.
  23. CHANGE OF START TIMES. The Club champ trial starts at 10:30 Jason Kirkwood trial starts at 14:00 I have corrected a mistake on the Events List which gave wrong start times for both events. Thanks Rob for bringing it to my attention. Your pushing-in is now forgiven!
