Yes right hand thread. Best way to loosen the nut is to leave the chain on stand on the rear brake and loosen with a breaker bar. Always refit the nut with a new locking tab.

I also have a 59n model which also knocked and pinged like a goodun on overrun. the cure was simple, after making sure the carb was clean a new set of fibre reeds and shell advanced fuel was all it took.
at a trial on sunday i found that when i first opened the throttle the engine hesitated at first then as the revs rose it cleared and revved perfectly. the carb has been cleaned jets blown out etc and a new plug fitted.
any help would be greatly appreciated

go for the vito yes the early ones had problems but these have all been now ironed out. merc dealer labour charges are about forty quid less than vw(up here in the ne)and parts availability is very good. if its not in stock they will have it next day.
hi all
im having problems getting a tubless tyre(pirelli) to seat on a tube type rim. im using plenty of soap on the tyre but about 6 inches of the tyre will not pop on any ideas

hi guys im putting my 86 ty250 mono back into service after a seventeen year layoff (midlife crisis) i have a few jobs to do yet. what i would like some advice on are handlebars last time out i bent the renthals and refitted the original chrome bars and cant remember what rise etc i had fitted any help would be apprieciated by the way im 5'11"
