just need a bit of advise really, My mate has a 91 Fantic K-roo 250cc, we were out on it at yesterday when it just seemed to die like as if it ran out of petrol. trued to start it but was not having it. Anyway took the head off and there seems to have been something smashing between the piston and the head. The engine still turns over fine, also the is a deep score down the cylinder so not sure if anything has broken inside the engine and came up over or if something has been sucked in the the intake? there are little bits of metal stuck into the head so not sure what there off. how much would a re-build be on this engine? also whould i get the parts? any help would be great. Regards Jason- Contact 1995
Hi peter ordered pump seal kit and clutch pipe, but today i started first kick without anywater in the rad. I then filled the rad up and then it wouldn't start, as if the water was going into the pots when i was kicking it over. So after a lot of kicking it fired up, ran it for about 5 mins, touched the engine and it was hotter than it should be so i turned it off. Checked the water in the rad, all gone. Looks like there was sign of some leaking between the head and the barrels aswell. So just wondering what parts should I be looking at ordering, just an o ring. Also would you know the torque settings and sequence for the head bolts? Thanks for your help peterb, Really appreciate it. jay- Contact 1995
Hi peterb Dont suppose you know were I could pick a pump seal kit up from in the north-east do you? can you buy replacement pipes for the clutch and take my fitting off the knackered one or do you have to order a new complete one from Gas Gas? cheers Jay- Contact 1995

think my water pump seal has gone, was out on it today stopped for a well earned break lol when i noticed the engine was steaming so hot it burnt through my clutch pipe (so no cluctch now). Got the bike home and there seems to be no water in it, but a milky layer on the water cap. By passed the fan with a wire and seems to struggle to first start spinning. Had the bike serviced lateley and he advised the pump seal may need replacing soon, How hard of a job is it? were do i start lol or and how do i change the oil and check i havent done anymore damage? sorry for the thread High jack, just dont know what to do with it. its a contact 250 1995 cheers Jay - Fantic K-roo 250 Engine Damage
