I agree, the slower shutter speed does offer better results, the down side so far is that I suffer a lot of out of focus images. Panning works well if the timing is right. I also use a single focus point setting which I find helps a lot. Trouble is, if a bike is going away or towards you, you need the higher shutter speed and AI focusing, which then dumbs down the real movement in the shot.
that's about all there is about making a great shot i've been trying since the eighties and i'm still not happy with the results and know guys who do amazing shots all day that started a few years ago ...
Slr is great ! the problem with panning shots half of mine are bad, but the ones that are nice are soo much better than a static high shutter speed picture. I allways take lots and have my laptop to dump if the cards are full.
Great shot but it has less motion, some panning but not as much as in the other picture. The first was done with 64 and your last with over 300 shutter speed the 64 is much harder to make but it shows the motion so much better !
Would like to hear what PeterB has to say about this ! but i woulden,t start it up or ride it anymore. Maybe it's something small like Dave said, cheap to fix now and why take the risk ?
Thanks Lee cant wait to work on the Fantic ! Is it possible to swap engines on the 125,200 and 240 models ? Were all frames the same or did they change from 82 on because of the new engines ?
I have a 125 twinshock that has a back kick type starter must be the only model with back kick ? It also says on the plate "special" model but it i'm sure it's like a "pro" not really that special
Dave i will try to seal the tank of my Fantic 125 with expoyprimer a friend of mine has a paintshop and he thinks it should work. It looks like crap anyway so if it doesent work it will still look better, will post the results here good or bad
I was thinking about swapping the complete front with diskbrake and all, not to adapt the Mazzochi forks for using the drumbrake-wheel like you did. Pm'd you my phonenumber anyway
If i'm correct you installed the forks from a Section on your twinshok Fantic. Would they work on a 125 model ? i have a complete Section that i dont use anymore and would like to the same while restoring the original forks.
Just picked up a 1979 Fantic 125 and found some partslists and info on French sites. The documentation said it needs 1.3 liter of oil for the engine is that correct and which oil is best ?
Found some info and it said Zip Karts with two 256 rotech engines not sure if those are the ones in the video. B40RT a clutch was my first guess too but if you look at the video i,m not sure anymore ?
Was at a cart race where they were using water cooled twin cylinder rotax motors, 250 I think with 6 gears.
Thanks i was pretty sure i heard about those B40RT but never seen one. Tried google but without succes i,ll try again what comes up using rotech in my search
Yes i,m sure it,s a shifter kart and this one even has a clutch i think ? I,m sure a 250 rotech will make enough power to make awesome speeds love the spoilers on them and i,m sure it,s not a 2fast 2 furious thing for those karts
Manx2day never new GasGas made those ! me and friend were thinking of getting a frame and mount a 249 fantic engine on it. It would be a 20 hp 6 speed clutch kart should be fun on sunday !
