I'm always learning new stuff on this site and some of the answers you get may help other riders also.
I agree that,s why i love forums ! i,m a long time member from a german car board just by using the search you can do a complete rebuild of your engine, gearbox, suspension with tips, pictures and tips from the professionals. Let,s make this a howto do seals thread maybe it will help newbies like me in the future
i can create a vector file if you guys want ? you can take that to a signshop and have the decals made. Let me see what i can make that is easy to apply
Jon i think i got it all but not sure about some parts. I will make some pictures and ask for your help if i may, this is this first time i,m doing forks so i might have some beginner questions
doing an overhaul of the bike and it needs new seals on the front forks. Can someone tell me what parts i need to order please ? i hate to do just the seals to find out later some other parts should have been done at the same time.
Need some parts for my gasgas overhaul is it allowed to post a picture of the part list for asking questions ? i mean like a screenshot of the pdf page that has the parts on it.
a meter of foil will cost about 5 dollars at the signshop ? The shape is not that hard to do yourself just install the foil wet first if something goes wrong it,s easy to take off and try again. I agree with the blue it looks best of the three. BUKU grapihcs ?
yup we did a total car wrap in carbon fiber effect and the foil was very expensive ! if you just need protection go with matt/gloss black foil it,s 10 times cheaper. It,s just a decal so it will wear badly i,m afraid, i wonder how the black powdercoated frame looks after a while ?
Some of the spokes on my GasGas sound loose when i tap them with a screwdriver. Can i just tighten the loose ones or should i take the wheels to an expert ?
There was one for sale here with yellow plastics it was from 95 if i remember correct. I think the JT-25 was the 250 cc model and JT-16 the 125 cc from what i found on some spanish sites.
Sounds good Hop Sing ! have any pictures ? I think the nicest thing about electric will be the smoothness of power. Use a good regulator for the power and you can choose to have 125,250 or 300 power just chancing the electronics. Lipocells are very light and carry lots of power nowdays but are expensive now, but in a few years sure !
I tried a 2000 model tank protector on my 2004 txt pro and it diden,t fit, the tank is shaped different. The decals are made to follow the lines of the tank so i,m afraid they wont fit well. Ofcourse you could modify them but not sure how they will look after.
Buy it Tim no expert on pre-65 bikes here but that sounds like a bargain ! I would love to have that piece of history but i,m sure shipping would kill the deal.
Kot did you weigh the parts before you put them on the bike ? The middle part that holds the airfilter is pretty heavy i,m sure most was lost there. I love the tank ! very clever way to get the weight down and bring the weight to the middle of the bike.
There is a company that makes a sealer for such purposes but I cannot recall the name. Basically a vacume is applied and the crack cleaned with solvent such as brake cleaner, sucking it through to flush it, then the sealer is sucked into the crack to seal it!
That sounds really smart Copemech ! If you ever recall the name of the product please post it here.
