  1. Both knees replace, not at the same time, several years ago. Riding the best I have in a long time at 77. Work hard on your physical therapy and you will be back to riding within a few months. It took me a long time to convince my doctor that trials did not have a lot of jumping and that the effort on the knees was a lot like mountain biking. After that he said I could ride.

    Kickstand

I found that if I parked on soft ground and the kickstand sank into the dirt it would put enough torque on the kickstand to loosen the bolts. I the first time I did this I was happy to find that Beta installed helicoils. My cure is to pull the swingarm, install new stainless bolts and torque them at maximum torque for the bolt. With the swingarm off the bike I can then get a straight hex wrench on the bolts. This and being careful where I park seems to solve the problem.
  3. I had the same problem once. The bolt that holds the top plastic cover on and has the clip for holding the wiring harness needs the small spacer for support. Put the spacer in that hole in the cap; it will fit perfect.
  4. I have reviewed the proposed rules and think that New England can support these updates to the AMA rules. There will be some local rules that the NETA will continue to use and I don't think that we will change our class names to match. I do think that I might be able to get the membership to accept the letter designations. The level of difficult descriptions are good and should help riders determine the appropriate class. I may be reading it wrong but in section 4.d a rider cannot ride above a marker. If this implies an imaginary vertical line up from a marker it would be very difficult for a checker to judge. I see no fault with a rider doing a float turn where his wheel may pass beyond a marker in the air. The last I looked nationals had a rule against jumping tape, that is easy to check This is very good work and if adopted at the Competition Congress will be a good move toward unified rules across the country. 5. The motor on the TY-125 is built very tight and takes time to break in. My advice is to leave the idle and air screw where the are set at the factory. After a few rides the motor will start easier and will idle nicely. If you adjust the carburator now you wil be resetting it as it breaks in. In the cold weather it will take some time to warm up. Good luck, I have had mine for two years now and have been very happy with it.
