did you get the 160 in the end , or have a look at it.
  2. thanks i will look into that , my only problem is the missus is due to pop one out as it were on saturday if it is on time so i dont think i will be allowed to play out so far from home but i might just look into doing a few of these trials later on when baby is out and settled.
  3. hi all , i am mike , i have only just taken up trials at the dizzy age of 36 and my lack of fitness showed straight away , i have only done the first 4 round of the lancs mcc birkett series and have thourouhly enjoyed it but i need to find time and more importantly somewhere close to home to practise.i just which i had started this years ago. i have just bought a scorpa 250 2001 model after my first bike a faded 1994 jordi tores replica decided to kill its stator (now has a vespa one on but the missus doesnt know so i could have a new bike ;-) i find the scorpa so much easier to ride but i think it is more because it is set up better not because i have suddenly got better. anyway thats enough from me for now before you all fall asleep . may catch some of you in a trial. ttfn
  4. i dont know if you have since found out but that is a 12v voltage regulator which you do need to have in the circuit they are available pretty much anywhere and arnt expensive to buy
  5. my friends gas gas jtr 160 has been stolen from a lock up container in cumbria last night along with some copper and a trailer , the bike is a 1996 model in yellow and athough i dont have the chassis number at the moment i do know the previous owners so i should be able to get it. it has the usual scars but some of its identificating features are the back fender has been bent back and cracked almost completely across and was repaired with a piece of plate underneath and riveted in place , it also has annodised bar clamps , the stopwatch in the tank plastic is missing , the front brake is rubbish , the engine makes a clicking noise when running like the kickstart is trying to engage , the seat rubber has been replaced by a badly cut peice of imitation carbon fibre , the front tyre valve is barely sticking thru the hole in the front wheel due to the valve cap and the inside of the exhaust has been repaired where the tyre has rubbed it . i realise there are probably a lot of things on this list which may be normal or easily fixed but you never know someone may look at the bike and it may make them think twice bout buying it and may just help us get it back and the theivin litle s***s nicked. if anyone has any info at all then please dont hesitate to mail me if i think of anything else i will add it later.
