How long you been riding for? Like you say, its just practice practice, eventually things start to click. Do you not know anyone with a farm around the Kendal area? Try balancing on flat ground using the suspension and brakes to start, but clutch and brake control just comes with obstacle practice. Andy

Hi, I am getting back into trials, and am looking around for a new bike to start learning again. Ive found a 1996 JTX 250 with new plastic/decals, nearly new tyres, new cluch, new wheel bearings, new inlet reed block, new exaust gaskets, new gear oil etc. Is there any specific problems on this model? Is it better to generally get a newer gas gas to avoid some of the wear and tear problems, or would a 1996 bike be a good starter machine? The price is around

Hi, I'm looking at getting back into trials an have seen a 1999 Montesa Cota 315R for sale, which looks mint and apparently has had a lot of overhaul work. Would anyone recommend a Montesa for a beginner (or someone who hasn't trialled in a few years) or is it better to stick to 2 stroke? Do the 1999 models have any particular problems that I need to be aware of? What sort of price should you expect to pay for a good example? Thanks in advance to anyone! Andy
