Update on the CDI install: bike has been running great, only one fault, pickup failed, called Julian and was sent a replacement without any problems, fitted and no issues since.. Also have fitted a new Mikuni card from in motion, running even better now.....

Hi, Pearce, your right, never did look at them, they look like older 247 ones, well spotted...

This is the Hall Sensor pickup that replaces the points and condenser, the encoder magnets are attached to the inside of the flywheel,

Had to get 4.6mm BTDC for the 242 so thought this might do the trick

Build update, installed electronic ignition from RMlightning, absolutely brilliant bit of kit very easy to install and setup, fantastic help from Julian, will update with full description and pics to follow.
