  3. Does anyone have the best timing advice for Pvl fot the twin? Thinking of retarding it a smidge but at the moment i have just set the marks at TDC Maybe this is to much advance? Thanks Marty D

Yes Jim all sorted Total rebuild needed a Barrel as wen it was bored to 400 it had been bored through the linner and then broke rings Head was cracked ,new one fitted So new barrel new pistons new head The Morgo pump is just fine no wet sumping at all!!! Now how do you find grip in mud with a twin???????????????????????????????? Marty
  5. Hi Guys just checking about the best way to 400cc the twin Was done badly and want to redo it if you use Cub pistons does it not leave the liner walls very thin? Or is there a better piston/Modification? Thanks Marty

  8. Hi guys got a nice 400cc twin Problem is that its "wet supming" all the time Have just fitted a new morgo pump to cure but is not any different any ideas?? MartyD I could fit a tap but think that would be the last resort as im likley to forget to open it!!!

  10. I like the thoughts of the Rigid But really to make them rideable in mordern section would it not have to be raised and well modified/ thus making it no scottish eligible? Thanks Marty

  12. thanks It was just that the primary chain seems to go tigh or loose depending on the position of "wobble" there also seems to be a very slight movement on the gearbox sprocket aswell I put a impact gun on the clutch shaft and spun at highish speed to see the wobble Marty
  13. Right guys at the clutch basket i have a wobble Seems that the input/output shaft not true Does this make a difference? Clutch is snatchy and dragging and slipping Any Great ideas?? Marty
  14. Thanks will take a good look and see if i can find iut whats going on Saying that i see that the input shaft(clutch) has a considerable float When levered the shaft will move back and forward Marty D
  15. Had a look the clutch dosent appeared to have moved out of line Is the gear tight to the output shaft/clutch 1st or 4th? Going to have to let a Proper Bsa mecanick tinker Marty D ,
  16. Hi Guys Bsa B40 with wd ratios Sometimes will ,but mostly not select 4th Then will not select 3rd Gearchange is a bit wooly New plungers on the gearshaft new bearings etc Tried differnt quadrants Anyone no where to look next? Marty D

  20. Does anyone else use a road box ?? If so what gearing did you find best/ At the moment i have 15t engine 16 gearbox and 50 rear sprocket I suppose that a trials gearbox is hard to find? MartyD
  21. Spoke to Andy really helpfull bloke His frame is i think 20 odd lbs lighter that a std one Think i have found out i a have a road gearbox not the trials!! I also have the Alloy hub(ribbed) Not sure to machine them or try and get Wd steel ones? Marty D

  25. Anyone know where id get a front pipe for a 240? They are different from a 200 arnt they? Someone has tried to weld the pipe with a Arc Welder(poorly) Also where do i get spokes? Thanks Marty D
