November 11, 200619 yr i have had a case today of my back tyre coming off the rim, thoutht it was a puncture but after taking the tyre off cleaning everything and refitting it i cant find owt wrong with it, just wondered if i am running it a bit on the low side 4.5psi. jsp
November 13, 200619 yr You can run them at 2 or 3 psi without problems - they'll generally stay on the rim even when punctured. Unless there is something wrong with your particular tyre you must have just been unlucky as there is nothing else I can think of that would cause it to come off the rim, unless maybe it was never seated properly in the first place
November 13, 200619 yr how offten do you check your pressure if it had crept down yot may not have noticed i run 4 psi back 7 psi front but check regularly
November 13, 200619 yr Take off the chain and spin the back wheel to make sure it is true and you havent got any dings in the rim. Maybe you caught it on something and didnt realise.
