I would guess that it would not be that much cheaper buying from the uk dealer. Your heli part were probably quite cheap compared to mitani bits, so if you put in an order a grands worth of bling, customs will probably find out and you will have to pay the import duty(i think the tax free limit is
Before you remove the small bolts on the clutch, take out the centre allen bolt and the whole assembly comes out in one piece. You can then work on it on a bench just in case you drop a small screw into the engine!!
Does anyone have a copy of the parts manual and service manual in pdf format. It used to be on the us montesa site. I had it but my pc crashed the other day and I have lost all my information.

From memory the 03 and newer airbox/seat are much better than the 02 type. The 02 airbox has the electrics going through it and is prone to water incursion. The downside is that the last time I priced one they were about
I had a mitas tyre on my last bike. when I bought it I asked asked about the brand and I was told that they were made in the continental tyres factory in czech republic.
Take off the chain and spin the back wheel to make sure it is true and you havent got any dings in the rim. Maybe you caught it on something and didnt realise.
I need your help everyone. My 4rt has recently started to make a rumbly ticking noise from the clutch. I cant remember whether it goes away if you or pull in or release the clutch but it is there all the time. I dont know if is connected but recently I have noticed that it does not change gear easily until the engine has been run for a while and everything is hot which has never been an issue in the past. I have replaced the oils (repsol 4t & lub htx) so I dont think it that. Is it possible that I just need a new clutch or is it something more sinister??
Thanks in advance monty fans
I had an iris chain on my 4rt. Looked nice but after about 4 trials I noticed the chain was quite loose. I adjusted the snail cams and it was that stretched the oversize cams could not take out the slack. chucked it in he bin and bought a DID chain. Would never again risk buying an iris as I would gues it would make a big mess of the bike if it broke and it would smart if it hit you.
I had fat bars om my 05 gasser pro with the renthal clamps and they were great. When I got my 4rt I swapped the bars over and used a titanium coloured hope top clamp to put on the fatbars. The top clamp is of the highest quality and is engineered and finished off beautifully( a real work of art). I think they feel much better than the stock bars. Seems to soak up more of the vibrations and it maybe a mind trick but they just feel more comfortable. They also give you a little extra space when you go face first into the triple clamp and look great too so I think it is worth investing!
I will post photos soon...when I can get one in the daylight.
Honda definately doesn't want any negative press about the 4rt do they. They seem to be making a good job of acheiving that with the levels of service they provide. All we can hope for is that the other manufacturers use this as the yard stick and up their game to same level. In my experience honda seems to want to go that extra mile to get you sorted out.
Not that the other manufacturers provide inadequate service but its nice to see honda being so pro-active.
Keep up the good work
