Breaks the bead in seconds with virtually no effort and can also push the last 6-8 inches of tyre back on the rim. zippy Posted December 24, 2006 Report Share Posted December 24, 2006 (edited) I saw the word Jig and thought somebody was dancing. on edit: I use a couple of 2x4 boards one pushing down on the bead and the other as a lever pushing on the first 2x4 with one end wedged under another short 2x4 attached to my work bench. the addict Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 4, 2007 You keep struggling Jamie, this is one of the most usefull items I have bought in years for the bike, saves time and sweat and turning/changing tyres isnt something I dislike doing any more. I don't believe you, if it was that easy to break the bead why would the question get asked every month? Are you confusing the breaking of the bead to removing the tyre from the rim? Think so.
