It's been cheaper to buy a modern bike for a long time. Have you actually priced up building a competitive pre 65 bike? I darent cost my two but i know ALL the savings have dissapeared and i now have a massive overdraft for the first time in my life
I would have to agree. Whatever the reasons to ride a pre-65 bike...price advantage is probably not one of them! Depending on the bike you can only hope the money that goes into it will impact it's overall value at the end of the day. Old is not necessarilly cheaper and I've heard a few comments lately how early monoshocks are actually more favourably priced and a better value then some of the classic 70's twin shock machines! :banana2:
