Trials Bike Insurance

Featured Replies

my old insurer has decided not to cover my trials bike 2007 pro, which is registered,

as it is a "competition motorcycle". they always have in the past but for some reason they have stopped.

Are there any companys that will insure me?

Anyone have experience of this?

and

Does household insurance cover this bike to sit in the garage if i inform them, (they do cover my

mountain bike)?

cheers

Here in Australia all motorised vehicles (including trials bikes) are specifically excluded from my household contents and dwelling insurance policies. The only exception is for motorised wheelchairs.

ebikeinsurance.co.uk list the gas gas and was the cheapest I found for our bikes. They do multi bike policies and let you insure using the last 6 digits of the frame number as the Reg as well. Well worth a look. ;)

I asked about the house insurance covering the bike while in the garage but it was a no-go for me. They said I would get away with a small kids motorcycle as it would be covered as a toy, but they would have to check value before they covered it.

I went with e-bike and you're obviously older than me Wayne :( so it should be fairly cheap. Ebike have my KTM 640 insured fully comp for

Thanks everyone
