March 30, 200818 yr Hi .I have the chance of a 2002 beta 200. but. the guy says the bike runs ok but is a bit knocky on the top end? Q is this at worst a rebore and how much will it cost,do they have to be sleeved ? where and how much should bits cost? Im in the north east. Thanks Dom
March 31, 200818 yr Hiya, If you are in the north east then there are a few dealers around, but two strokes are so simple you can probably do most repairs at home, I don't know much about reboring since the barrels are nikasil coated, but all parts are available n=for next day delivery from JLI in Silsden (Leeds). It depends how bad the knock is, but I seem to remember that when I had an 03 200 being told that a tapping was quite common because of a bush used in the top end to make the 250 con-rod fit. Bob
March 31, 200818 yr Are the 200 rev3s nikasil coated ???? I was told back along that they where an ordinary bore, but could wrong. would like to know though...
