Dirt Rider Expo

Featured Replies

Just seen the Dirtrider Expo advert in TMX. I've been the last few years and it seems to be growing every year.

Last year when I went, I was considering a new Beta or a new Sherco. Beta didn't bother turning up - I spent a while talking to the Rathmells and after trying a few, bought a Sherco two weeks later.

GasGas there, Sherco there, Montesa there, not too worried about Scorpa ;) (sorry ) still no Beta.

Is there a reason?

John Lampkin is allocated only a few hundred betas each year and they sell easily enough so he has plenty of business.

He looks after the riders he has got

You would've thought that they'd want to show off the new enduro bikes though, even if the bikes themselves aren't available yet. And what would be harm in bunging a couple of Rev-3s on the stand as well? They may well sell their entire factory allocation each year, but I'm sure that if UK demand increased, Beta would find a way of allocating/producing more bikes.

Indeed , looking at the mass crop of 04 betas this time then it would seem that they could import plenty more and still get rid of em!!

Which is which Andy?? I have seen so many bitchy ads in tmx , which one is Jakes??

Jake's is Dirt Bike Expo. The one advertised on this site. I'll be running a competition starting 1st October for free tickets to this event.
