December 30, 200817 yr I need to get one of the muffler mounting lugs welded on my 2008 250. Should I disconnect the electrics from the frame to avoid damaging them please? You would be best advised to disconnect the wireing from the magneto and pull the ignition unit(coil box) before doing so, as just cheap insurance. A close ground to the weld point would be advisable as well. This way you should have no problems with stray voltages.
