The factory spec is 10-40, although many manufacturers of motorcycle lubes use a different scale, referred as light gear oil. The Maxima is 80wt as example.

Some use ATF, tends to make the clutch a bit snappier!

I use the light weight Maxima 75wt

i have found pj1 ultra light cluch tuner really good
