That's almost exactly the way I was thinking of doing my spare frame , just to make use of the new 301? aluminum skid plate (unused new !) that I've got ! I thought it would be cleaner than the flatten the case guard method . But alas I've got to many neverending projects at the moment , so on the back burner it goes for now ...
