Andy
This is a relatively quiet time for trials; the kids have broken up, clubs tend to slow down with the organisation of events as many folks take holidays; the World Championship is in recess until September and with warm sunny weather (!!), there are other things to do at weekends
pete_scorpa3
Mike, I for one look forward to reading your weekly contribution and hope that you will continue for many years to come. Pete
austini
Concur with Pete I too look forward to reading your colums past, present and in the future, it's always interesting to hear how the mother country's feetup world differs from down under. slapshot 3
Always read the columns, might not respond but always read them. What is certain is that many of them hit a nerve and provoke a real reaction from people and for that reason alone long may they continue
shercoman2k8
I for one, and I imagine im talking for a lot of you guys, look forward to reading them after a good days trialling on the Sunday. As Donald says, we may not always respond but they are read, without fail in this household and also printed out for father to read, may not touch many nerves with me being 14 but him almost hitting sixty remembers the times you talk about. We both find them of deep interest and look forward to reading them weekly... hope you carry on for many years to come! Jamie
treevor
Got to agree with all previous comments Mike and add my own thanks, not only for the columbs but also for giving me a bike related memory back in the late 80s that will never leave me. I was walking along the waters edge just before the start of the Weston Beach race when you ambled up looking fo a photo shot of the start, I gave you a lift with your camera bag and we walked another 1/4 mile or so down the beach until we came to a pile of hay bales around some sleepers in the middle of the straight. "If we can get behind these and I can shoot over the top as they come towards us it will be great" you said. I thought this b****rs crazy, but followed you in. Just as we got there some joker in the crowd let a fire bomb off and false started the race, well all hell let loose, you like a manic snapper, 1000 bikes whizzing past topped out riders flat on the tanks and me cowering down waiting for the thud that was sure to come when somebody hit the bales. It never came. I had great delight telling my mates that I was with you when the pictures appeared in TMX the next week, I don't know whether they believed me or not, it didn't matter all I know it was just about the most exciting thing that ever happened to me (it still goes ten bob threpenny bit when I think about it) and if you hadn't been there it wouldn't of happened. Long may you write Thankyou Trevor Edited July 22, 2009 by treevor
hillary
What a great reply Treevor, and thanks for that. I don't remember it (29 years ago!!) but it sounds like me. Thanks to the others as well for such nice comments.
bigfoot
I think the addition of Centrally Speaking was a master stroke by our Andy. I like most people on hear read every one and even though we don't often comment it doesn't mean we aren't out here. I'm guessing that you still get more feedback here than you ever did in T&MX.
