Rev-3 Carb Hiccup

Featured Replies

I have a 2008 Rev-3 that is acting like it is running out of gas after I go down a steep embankment or similar situation. It also does it after hopping logs sometimes. The extreme up and down motion seems to do it but I think the front end being pointed downward severly is the culpret.

Any ideas what's going on?

Mine does that too when going down steep hills. Keep the throttle open a bit on the down hill, clear it out before the descent and again when you reach the bottom of the hill. Some bikes seem to just pop pop pop down on tickover with no problems. I'm sure someone will be able to explain why.

I have experienced the same problem a couple of times but usually only on steep down hills. I removed the sump plug from the carb and found a small buble of water, once cleaned out I have not had the problem since. May be worth a look.

I took the little sump bowl/plug out the other day ans emptied and cleaned it out. I have tried in my back yard to duplicate the severe front end down angle and haven't had the same running out of gas sensation yet. I'm riding a trial tomorrow so I guess I'll find out if it worked.

point your atmospheric pipes upwards and overflow pipe downwards as the same as the evo carb mod what is on beta uk website
