Can someone tell me if there is a reserve setting for a 97 techno? It looks like pointing up towards the front to the bike is off and pointing down towards the back of the bike is off. Is sideways the resevce?

Don't know if the Techno and the REV are similar, but on the REV3 (while standing on the ground looking at the fuel petcock from the right side of the machine):

Arrow pointing to the back tire: OFF

Arrow pointing to the sky: Main fuel supply

Arrow pointing to the front tire: Reserve

on the techno 'on' is pointing out the side of the bike 'off' is when the lever of the petcock is poiting towards front end of the bike and reserve points to the rear.

Don't know about this back, forward stuff as the petcock on my 97 faces forward so all the operations are to the sides as follows;

on; point to left of bike

off; point to ground

res; point to sky

and always turn off when you stop the engine or it will flood

My 98 techno is (as you look at it from the front) ..as follows -

Straight up .... off

point to right ....on

point to ground....reserve

Are they all different

perhaps if you are loocking at it and turn it to the left as long as it goes it will be off. ( If there is a stop!?) 90
