sectiononecleaner Posted January 1, 2010 Report Share Posted January 1, 2010 IRC very popular, soft and great for winter in uk, summer can go for dunlop as good wear as stiffer but again most people tend to ride michelin. zippy Posted January 1, 2010 Report Share Posted January 1, 2010 I generally run Dunlops, and get 2 years out of a rear and god only knows how many years out of a front. This is not because I don't ride very often, it's just that I am very cheap and run my rear one direction the first year and then flip it for the second year. A rear IRC lasts for about 20 trials than I turn it around and get a few more. Obviously this is less if it includes a few road trials. tricky dicky Posted January 4, 2010 Report Share Posted January 4, 2010 Ive just nearly fallen off my chair at the fact that a tyre lasts 2 years! That is awesome! I know some tight sods but that is brilliant! I reckon one of the most neglected parts on a bike is definitely the front tyre. I have had 3 fronts on this last year and I have really notice a difference. I do ride every week though and do a fair bit of practise. Michelins seem to last the best in general on the front. I n winter on the rear I would say IRC's are best but then Michelins for spring onwards. Just my preference but I have tried all of them!
