5 Days of Verdon in August. Takes place in the South of France about 60 miles north of Nice. Been to the last 4, ridden 3 times. Not sure if there is a better

trial in Europe. Huge daily routes and fantastic scenery as you get up into the ski resorts.

What do you do for accomodation / showers etc. & how do you get your van to where you stay each night?

French Trials:

first one is Easter, 27 March or so. 3 days, easier than the others (easier coursework & sections) , less senic, but well worth riding. Near too.

see:

http://trial.lachatre.free.fr/

World round there in 2006.

May/June (asension?) is the the Aveyron 4 day. Really great event, bit of a Gastro Trial! No official web page, but a short report here:

Also some pics in my TC photo album.

As Jordi says, Verdon is the best of the lot, usually last week of August.

Course can be tough & V.Hot.........but if you only ride once a year in France make sure it's here.

See my web-babble here:

All above are better organised than the Creuse trial (IMHO) & the second two have more variety of course & sections. My plan is to get to all of these this year & I may be looking for riding buddies for La Chatre & Aveyron as the usual suspects are either wounded or bikeless.............

so it is possible to do it fairly easy with no driver to drive your van each day? i guess the bikes stay at the finish of each day?

@ Verdon - bikes checked in Parc Ferme, But you get 2 hours or so mechanicing time to work on bike & get your van.

Later in the week start/finish distances are shorter & you could nip back on bike easily.
