April 30, 201016 yr I'm keen to carry more fuel for longer treks out to play, can anyone recommend something to carry spare fuel in while out on bike ??
April 30, 201016 yr MSR Fuel bottles. They're made for camp stoves that use "white" gas. They are deep drawn aluminum and pretty tough.
April 30, 201016 yr MSR Fuel bottles Seconded - you can get them from any reputable UK outdoors retailer (blacks/cotswold camping etc) in 600ml or one litre.
May 1, 201016 yr I assume they can be re used...if that sounds like a stupid statement As a portable urinal, but I would wash them well before drinking water! And if you have a few in the pack, you better keep them straight! They work great though!
May 1, 201016 yr I have some Containers that my father "brings home" or "borrows" from work, he works on a process additives chemical plant where they make seriously corrosive chemicals and stuff, so these are guaranteed not to leak or swell or anything like that. They are I think 1 litre, never actually measured one but i stick one in my pocket or in a small backpack. Never leaked yet just plain translucent very strong plastic with a screw top. Ill take a pic of one if you want next to something for size reference. If you want one PM me and ill send you one in the post or something.
May 1, 201016 yr In fact here you go mate I didnt realise that I had one here in the house I thought they were in the garage
