August 2, 201016 yr The big news with the 2011 Sherco is that it will have a new engine. This engine has completely re-designed housings in which there is an integrated cooling system
August 2, 201016 yr I am loving the new engine. How tidy does that look. Really glad Sherco have fixed all the little problems from the 2010. I'd like to see pics of where the fuel filler is now located!
August 2, 201016 yr Bike looks great especially with the white frame & so does the new enigne, When I was at Brimham rocks yesterday I was watching Browny on his Cabestany Replica, & It did sound very well, & very good on the top end.
August 2, 201016 yr Very neat. I like the internal routing for the water hoses. Filler cap is sensible and should have been there day 1! White frame looks great but for me I prefer silver rims and shiny spokes! There's not many Sherco's in our centre so I'm waiting for Malc to give me a ring!
August 3, 201016 yr And the moral is - whether new bikes or iPods, don't buy a new design till its been out for a while.
August 3, 201016 yr Why bother?? Why would Sherco redesign the casing like that now instead of going straight to a new engine??? Sure it's great to have "die -cast and machined aluminium in a single cycle" but they didn't really have an issue before...so why now? My guess is that the new case has been designed for fuel injection to get the small end and big end continuously lubricated somehow. Doing this in a 2 stage (years) approach so in 2012 they'll have a fuel injected engine that already has proven reliability for most internal parts. Smart move me thinks. Best of balance. Neo
