Guest coflet Posted January 27, 2005 Report Share Posted January 27, 2005 Ive always used renthall chains the last one on my sherco 290 lasted one year used every weekend after trial or practice take the chain off place in a container of old gearbox oil leave 24hrs then let it drip dry refitt .you dont need chainlube as the chain is full of oil. I never use chainlube as it picks up grit acting as a grinding paste wearing it out. They will even supply you a blank if you can do your own machining on the centres.
