Is it registered ?

Try Carol nash or Norwich Union Direct. Both insure trials bike but must be registered.

IMHO Registration is a good thing it gives the bike an identity, so buying/selling is less mysterious. Less likely to be a stolen bike if the right paperwork is present.

Wouldn't be a bad thing to have all bikes registered with the DVLA, then those that don't want to go on the road have SORN (Off the Road Notification) so don't need to tax it every year.
