SSDT seals on M80 Bultaco

Hi

On re-building my 1971 Bultaco M80 slimline I'm re-discovering some dabs

of grey paint that I take to be seals from the Scottish.

I'm assuming that this bike was ridden in the 1972 Scottish by Karl Rowbotham from Kidderminster.

Can anyone confirm (or otherwise) that:-

1) Grey seals were used in 1972.

2) If not, a year when grey seals were used.

3) Karl Rowbotham rode a 244cc Bultaco in the 1972 SSDT and his number.

4) Any pics would be more than fabulous.

Thanks in anticipation.

Kind Regards

Sparks

Can't confirm any of the above ............ but just noticed he also rode in 71.

Final pos 30. Rider number 243. Bike Bultaco 244. Marks lost 123. Good result I reckon. :icon_salut:

Thanks 2Fargone.

Yes, but the Bultaco was registered in October 1971, too late for the 70 and 71 SSDTs

So Karl would have been riding earlier Sherpas.

But the bike could have been possibly ridden in subsequent SSDTs say 73 or 74 hence I asked

for the seal colours.

Anyway, thanks for looking up your results, great info, almost confirms what I thought.

Yes, Karl was a dealer so probably had a new bike each year. Rode mainly the 325 I think after they came out in '73. I think he rode every year in the 70s and had some good results as well.
