Best Way To Wash Bike?

Featured Replies

You guys forgot one thing after washing bike flash it up and let it run until the fan comes on.

From the Sherco main website, tech tips -

Never start the bike immediately after it has been washed, always check the air filter and the airbox prior to starting in order to make sure that water has not entered the filter/airbox.

Sort of on topic, have any of you guys tried one of these 12V pressure washers,

Laser 12V pressure washer

Just thinking it could be a handy thing to carry around in the back of the car and then give the bike a wash before getting home (if there is a water supply near by), leave all the mud etc at the venue instead of carrying it back home!

I find the best way to clean a bike is to just use a normal jetwasher (Soak the bike in detergent first), Give it a good cleaning off with the jetwasher, Then after blow the water off with the airline (especially the chain), Then clean the air filter & the filter box, Put some Lube on the chain, Then let the bike run until the fan kicks in.

Just put a bag over the air filter and go for it with a pressure washer
