  1. Thank you some one understands how to look after a engine and u are right the oil helps to keep it cool and also if there is not enough oil in the engine it will not get into those important places or main bearings bantam ones are a classic for not having enough oil
  2. A very good friend of mine who has 30years of experience with bikes and who has had 10years work working at mounttunes working on rally cars aswell as rebuilding the engine on colin mcrages world champion car he has a few bikes which are pre 65 championship scramble winners god knows how many times. he runs his challenger and grifon on 16:1 on castrol rand trials bike a villiers engined Anglian on 20:1 he has also had a champion ship winning bantam and he has advised me that no less than 30:1 is to go through that bike.
  3. I would never dream of putting a weak mix in no matter what oil I use I have seen to many get torn to bits just for not enough oil
  4. Only time will tell but bearings do last a he'll of a lot longer when u are trailing if u use richer mixes
  5. Amca only alow18+ to ride hope helps m8 I am in the same boat as u some trials I can ride in some I can't but they have never said any thing about the bike it's a 185
  6. I can garantie that your bantam will sieze or throw the con rod out the bottom if you use week mixtures and parts ain't easy to come across now so put up with a bit of smoke and your engine will last forever.
  7. Give it a bit more jucie on side big screw is Rickover and other is fuel air screw it in a bit more
  8. Which bantam is it

No I don think so it has just had a bore out
  10. No it needs to be mixed right with a bantam or it will soon seize.when the bantam first came out they said use 32:1 with the oil mix but that was for road use if u are at a trial and giving it a bit of stick then u need to run it lean at least at 25:1 the mix is about 45 mls of 2 stroke oil to one litre of petrol also use the right plug other wise it will carbon up it wants to be a 5-7 plug if it has these numbers in the coding it will b ok
