Anybody shine some light on this, took the carb off today to clean it, however when i pulled the fuel pipe off the pump the fuel just kept coming out.

pls dont tell me I need to drain the every time I do maintance on the bike?????

Why not put it up (the end) higher than the the tak or fuel level.. works for me

yes I've added an in line petrol tap to mine so I can turn the petrol off when I clean the carb.

Just a thought, could you not find a bolt of the right size to bung up the pipe to stop it leaking? I did this on a unused vacuum hose on my supermoto once and it worked a treat.

I thought about this myself, but by the time the bolts in, there's petrol all over the place

You could put the front wheel up on the work bench (Workmate vice is best)...assuming it would leak out of the fuel cap like that... But I really think the extra in-line tap is your best option.

Dead easy.

When you pull the pipe off the carb squeeze the pipe and it will obviously stop the fuel coming out.

I just push a philips screwdriver into the end of the pipe and job done.
