July 13, 201214 yr Hi Have just been out on my bike today and when I was lifting the back round to put in the shed I noticed when you lift the back up the bike goes up but the rear wheel stays on the ground untill lifted quite high. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks,Ben. Age 12
July 14, 201214 yr I will not re invent the wheel so look up on the TC forums "suspension tuning" and read about sag/bike sag/race sag and make sure you are not just noticing the normal "sag" of the bike/rear shock
July 14, 201214 yr The spring may be backed off a bit for your weight as well. Ask dad! possible worn bushes bearings
July 15, 201214 yr Author thanks for answers found out that the bottom of the shock was not connected to the linkage.ther seems to be some kind of thread on the bottom of the shock that screws into somthing .
July 16, 201214 yr Sounds like you're saying the shaft has undone from the mounting eye, had this happen on a gasser jt35 years ago. Quite possible that both the shaft thread & thread inside the eye are worn enough to not stay tight, I ended up getting the thread inside the eye inserted which worked well until I bought a new shock months later
