August 31, 201213 yr Sorry I need help again, I have just bought a talon rear sprocket & I am confused as how it should be fitted. I know that sounds daft but I believe the one I have taken off to have been fitted wrong. when looking at the sprocket the bolt holes have a flat side & the other side has a recess. Are the recess for the bolt head to sit flush in or are they to fit on the raised contact points on the wheel hub its a 41tooth talon radialite & the recess are not the type that are angled & look if they should take a wedge shaped bolt head. need a quick answer if possible.please
September 1, 201213 yr As above, cant say I've ever seen a hub with raised location points. Previous owner probably turned the old one to get more wear from it.
September 1, 201213 yr Author I took a guess that the Sprocket was on the wrong way around so I fitted it with the bolt heads in the recess & Thank you for confirming I made the right guess. Had the day out on the bike today & managed to Break the front & rear mudguards so that's another £153.00 to fork out. Good fun through.
