This is my Seeley...bought a couple of months ago, going to do some cosmetic work such as wheel rebuilds, hub powder coat etc.

Nice looking bike, mudguards definitely better in red than any other colour IMHO. Weren't the originals the black crinkle finish VF brand - the ones that shattered if you so much as looked at them.

Anyway, your picture has inspired me to get working on mine again now and I've got the engine fitted today so progress at least.

HondaRS...regarding silencer, what internals are necessary for a 4 stroke? A mate of mine is dead handy with a mig welder and could easily build a better functioning unit than the one fitted.

Think you've already seen the pics of my Seeley Mark, but here's a couple of pics of the exhaust. No baffles or pipe in it, initially thought there may not be enough back-pressure but runs superbly, no problems at all.

Built new alloy exhaust based on a couple of existing 'home-mades', larger tubing, mid section chamber and silencer, the bike revs out much better now and looks nice...will post picture tonight.

Still need to sort out gearing as I think 1st is still a little quick for nadgery stuff..my 2nd outing was much better but I still need to get some practice in as the bike is tending to go where 'it wants' and not where I need to be going.

Upcoming jobs are replacing worn camshaft bush and remove decompressor arm from cylinder head as its currently chaffing its way through the fuel line that connects the sections of the alloy tank.

Any tips on removing the camshaft with minimum fuss will be gratefully accepted.

Here's the exhaust we manufactured for my bike...certainly runs better with a nicer note and almost as quiet....

Is a RS200 different from a Seeley & what did Kondo convert, knowing this will lift a cloud of confusion.

Thanks for that, this four stroke yearning thing that I am suffering from is making me think I want a RS200 Konda model, are there many/any about here in the UK & what might be the value & spares availability.
