Hi i have an 02 Sherco 290 and the clutch is stuck. I have tried letting it warm up and riding it around but its showing no signs of breaking free does anyone have any suggestions thank you

Engine off/ select top gear/ clutch in/ rock bike backwards and forwards until it frees up then start it.

is the clutch lever set up correctly and is the clutch fluid level correct and air bubble free?

I usually ride around clutch pulled in, lots of brake, or a wheelie does it. Otherwise it is only a few minutes to pull the clutch plates out and clean them up.

Thanks for the feedback ill try all methods an if they still dont work ill get someone to take it apart and sort it for me as im only 16 and dont know how to do it myself

At 16 you should do this no problem, have some faith in yourself! If after doing a wheelie with the clutch pulled in, and using the brakes don`t work you could pull it apart. You only need a 4 mm allen wrench and a 8mm socket/and or wrench to remove the clutch springs. Just lay the back on the left side on the ground against the handle bar. Make sure the gas is off and you are not leaking fluid. With the bike in this position you can check the clutch plates without draining the oil. Here`s a video to help. At 16 you are plenty old enough to work on your bike!!

The clutch still didnt free of probably as it hasnt been used for a year so ive just taken out the clutch plates and cleaned them up ready to be put back in but i need to know which oil i should use for them.
