May 25, 201313 yr Hi i have a 240 fantic, which was rattling a bit, so i stripped it down for big end replacement. Its sat in my garage for a few years like this now, and im considering getting shot. It is in good condition, overall, but needs tidying if you want a minter I also have a spare engine , spare exhaust, front forks from a later fantic with disc brakes, and a spare tank. Now don't ask me to sell parts cos i am not interested in splitting it, and it isnt in the classified section yet, i might well keep it. Do we have a ballpark figure if i was to sell it, as in how much would i get for this little lot. , just to help me decide if i am keeping it or not? Cheers
May 25, 201313 yr £1600? ( i am no expert) just looked on ebay and had a guess. put some pics up it would make it easier for us.
May 26, 201313 yr An original one ,in original condition brought to the uk from Italy made £1500 sold by a uk seller recently on e-bay . I bought a box of fantic spares including a damaged engine for £250 .
May 26, 201313 yr I'd say 1600 is well ott. Sorted ones fetch that, maybe a bit more. You would see half that if very lucky.
May 27, 201313 yr Author £400?,ok then i'll sell it for £400 ................................ dream on, i reckon i could get 400 for the spares alone. The engine is not in bits, its just been removed from the frame. , and Havnt seen many new 240 exhausts for sale lately, or unobtainable engine parts, but i guess you guys must have them all stashed away.lol Anyways it looks like i wil be putting new big end bearings in it, or the spare engine depending on internal condition, , and punting it on ebay bid starting at 1200 or so, given that a big end rebuild, including gaskets etc will spring me £100 or so., its far preferrable to taking a huge hit Thanks for helping me decideI i will post up a pic when its back together, if i remember!
