Ive purchased a magnetic lanyard switch today just been to fit it and the connections are different has anybody else had this problem , I would of thought the only soloution is put new connections on

sorry forgot to mention im fitting it to a 2007 rev3

cut the plug off the old switch and solder onto the new one

Yeah was thinking about doing that , would it be easy to put new connectors on

pretty straight forward fix, at least you will,know the connections are correct as you will be connnecting into the factory wiring

yeah true , on the new switch one wire is brown the other is black

I am fairly sure it doesnt matter which way you wire it

yeah its only a switch so shouldnt really matter which way its wired

I,ve just fitted one to my evo and glad that i have.it given me more confideance to try harder sections knowing if i come off that the bike wound go very far before cuting out.i cant understand why these are not standard on new bikes now and everybody else that enters trials should fit them.my next step is to buy a spare magnetic head.
