January 4, 201412 yr i have just read a post about a xtx pro clutch and somebody replied back saying, I think you should be using mineral oil in the clutch reservoir and light gear oil in the engine, so this started me thinking is this the same on a sherco, i didn't even know that the clutch used oil, so how do i check it and how do i replace it if it needs replacing. regards Tony
January 4, 201412 yr It was my post about the txt pal ,, yeah if your sherco clutch is hydraulic it will have a reservoir at the lever end .. Usually two screws on top to open up reservoir and this is where your brake fluid goes . Then you simply bleed through once replenished. If your fluid is dark it needs changing ..
January 4, 201412 yr Sherco uses normal Dot4 brake fluid rather than mineral oil like the gas gas' use, completely different master cylinder internals in the 2 different brands of bikes

Thanks for a fast reply, I understand now, I new about the oil in the reservoir but I for some reason thought that you where talking about another oil that I would have to put in, at least it is clear to me now and I now know what oil to put in when it needs it, I even watched the video on changing the gas gas clutch and wondered why he didn't drain any oil first before he started, it may seem silly to some people but with being a complete novice it's better to ask silly questions than have a broken bike.
