Our Lovely Barn Find 221, 175Cc

Here is our latest edition brought from the original owner and it had been in his garage for 18+ Years covered up

Note the original front sprocket Guard and Alloy Tank

600 miles only from new and nothing at all has been touched

Started 3rd kick with fresh fuel and a quick clean up

I had one just like that up to age 17, it's great to see one rediscovered. Give it a wash!

Hi, Mike, thanks for the message , we just put seals in and a new clutch for better use and we had a electronic ignition and its running nice , its going out in two weeks. Regards Steve.

Wow, I had one too, very nice bike, please keep the patina and leave it as original as it is, no new paint!!! Just preserve!!! It's by the way more worth so and will too increase more in worth too.

It looks great. I have a very nice 199A which I love and which cost a fair bit to fully restore. It's the bike I always wanted when I rode my 175 as a schoolboy, just like Bernies'! It's a bit of an obsession, frankly.

 

Looking at yours makes me realise how much I prefer the alloy tank. Do keep it original.

 

I wonder if I can find an alloy tank somewhere?...... :D

I also have a 198B which i find very nice to ride, but the 175 seems so smooth will know more in a couple of weeks,the alloy tanks are very hard to come by if you want an original bully tank.
