Hi, how easy is it to open up beta evo 250 middle box for repacking? We have packed silencer, but it's still very poppy and crackly, any easy or a direction on what to do?

I don't believe there is packing in the mid box, just baffles.

Are you sure that you haven't re-packed it too tight?

 

Thats what I did the first time, wedging as much stuff in there as I could, and it was terrible!

 

You don't need to pack it tightly..... Good luck!

packed it fairly loose ish, still loud, then rammed in a mega stack, still loud!! ??

Sound like middle box???

Do you have an exhaust leak at the header?

Have the 2 o rings inside the front end of the middle box perished?

(they seal the front pipe to mid box)

Mine had and it did sound a bit poppy.

If you're new to trials bikes you may be unaccustomed to how much compression a trials bike actually has. It's not uncommon to be sitting in line at a section and be hit by a pulse of air from a bike some distance away. A healthy bike will sound poppy at low RPM.
