Remember seeing him on the Stunt world championships - whether it was on TV or at Edinburgh I cant remember - he made the rest of the entrants look 2nd class. All the rest seemed to do were wheelies & burnouts while this guy demonstrated exceptional bike control.

The only exception to this was a Brazilian guy with a 600 Honda (cant remember his name!). There is also the stunt rider who uses a Buell & massey fergusson (sorry harley) who is quite entertaining.

That would be AC Farias, or god, as he's known. He took the road bike stunting to the next level. Before the yanks got in on the act! Awesome (to use an overused american phrase).

Getting back even further, does anyone remember Steve "friction" Burns head on wheelie crash at knockhill, circa 1991 (ish). OUCH!!!

AC Farias was on a Suzuki and now rides a 636

Monty aka the 'king of bling' gets the prize

AC Farias was the guy I was on about and it definately was a CBR600 he was riding at that time. This stood out like a sore thumb from a plethora of 1100 Suzukis that the vast majority of other riders were using.

Have a look at some of the piccies on this website

In the olden days he had a green cbr 600, minus the fairing of course,It was painted up a bit like the Brazillian flag, with bits of yellow, and at the first European stunt champs in britain circa 1998(ish), at Edinburgh Motorcycle show, he was ski-ing off the back of it, not with steel soles, a la Rothwell etc, but with a cheap pair of trainers.

He then moved onto the cbr900 a couple of years later.

All this stunting talk and no mention of the greatest Scottish loony, and also ex world champ Kevin Carmichael, who pioneered tricks on a gsxr such as cross handed stoppies, and wheelies with no front wheel or forks on his bike. He's the man! All o0f his stunts were done at high speed, and looked a little out of control, adding to the "wow" factor!

Here he is on a cbr 6
