May 12, 20197 yr I have successfully remapped many 4rts 250, 260 various yrs tried with my kit to read data from the 300 rr without success 05 and 07 software twin throttle body nn4 ic27 16400-nn4-m71 can anyone advise Cheers in advance
May 13, 20197 yr Had same results I think may need more modern software - I did look into it but I like the st set up on the RR so didn't bother progressing.
May 13, 20197 yr Author I Phoned Micky Oats in Scotland he told me only by the factory in japan but indicated the new 2020 model will be programable
May 14, 20197 yr If you check press release / sales blurb for the 2017 it did say PTB. Having to send it back to Japan is a bit of a loose definition of PTB?? As said I wouldn’t want to change mine ?
May 14, 20197 yr Author The rider of the Montesa 300 rr previously owned 300 Gasgas with all the mods, TRS 300, moving to the 300 rr and the different way it makes power I agreed that the 300 RR is the best Montesa to date Looks like he will need to work with what has, I would doubt that any off the shelf product would help Disappointed that the PTB isn't remapping can give an extra boost in areas that customer deems lacking
May 14, 20197 yr Author Cheers for that looks the same software, but it only needs one plug, the cable I have required two plugs I wonder if the PTB part number is the same as nn4 ic27 16400-nn4-m71
May 14, 20197 yr I have a 2017 300rr that was remapped by Inch Perfect Trials, who did an excellent job of just altering one of the two switchable maps to smooth out and prevent the bike stalling at lower revs. It also enabled the bike to go back to standard gearing and ride slow stuff smoothly.
May 14, 20197 yr Author Thanks for that can you remember the name of the guy in inch perfect that done the work ?
May 14, 20197 yr I recently bought a 2016 260 model. Can anyone tell me where the red Service Check Connector is physically located? The programming software is quite inexpensive at around $31 USD, whereas the interface hardware costs $414 USD. I have a guess as to what the hardware does and would like to experiment with building my own. TIA. Edited May 14, 20197 yr by konrad
May 14, 20197 yr It in the big rubber boot under the Throttle body - above the gearbox sprockets -needs a bit of fishing out among the other plugs. You will need to confirm the 260 2106 has a PTB
