    300 rr remapping

Rapidroy, it was Matthew Alpe, the owner of Inch Perfect.

    300 rr remapping

I have a 2017 300rr that was remapped by Inch Perfect Trials, who did an excellent job of just altering one of the two switchable maps to smooth out and prevent the bike stalling at lower revs. It also enabled the bike to go back to standard gearing and ride slow stuff smoothly.

    250 or 300

Answered your own question, liked the 250. Just seen Toby Martyn in a Jitsie video riding the 250, looks a pretty capable 250.
  4. Any 9 volt 200 mah rechargeable battery is fine, my experience has been that it needs a full charge in a charger every 4 / 5 rides and has now been fine for last 6 months.
  5. Try new plug first and wires to battery.
  6. Have experienced the same excessive venting, on only hot days. Not many in the UK though! Have used stick on heat insulation and covered underneath of tank and fuel pump. Not had any venting since.
  7. Switched to a 15 repsol from a 13 300 gas gas racing back in November and wouldn't go back. Nothing wrong with the gasser and i can't say I'm any better or worse on the Mont, but for some reason I'm enjoying the Montesa experience and after having owned Beta's and Gassers can't see me going back to them. The only changes I've made to the mont is, switched to x lites from X11, S3 front pipe, 43 rear sprocket and the bike is perfect for me now. I found it to be a bike that you appreciate the more you ride it.
  8. The FIM are too busy trying to get the good old days back, Heavy bikes, no stop. They should be trying to evolve the sport into something that is going to attract the modern generation to it. I don't have the answers but someone out there must have. All things change, evolve, move on. Who doesn't want to be able to try and ride like the pro's. Having a heavy bike is just going to make us average riders even less able to try and flick our bikes around. I have just come back to trials after being involved with Kart Racing for 30 years. Karting has self destructed itself with complicated, heavy, expensive karts that are just not fun to drive anymore. Please keep the bikes simple, light and fun to ride.

    Bvm Test Day

So out of interest, would you say what bikes your friend's have decided to purchase? Can't get a better opportunity than to try all the bikes over the same ground. Disappointed work prevented being able to take up this opportunity provided by BVM and the importers.
  10. It is a 250 2T with X Lite tyres and the lights, associated wiring removed. So it is a preconception that the differences are that great! That is a very nice looking bike. Time to give one a test ride i think. By the way, only weigh as much as your bike so ok in that area:-) Thanks for reply.
  11. Does anyone know the ready to trial weight of the Montesa 4RT? Just weighed a 2011 Beta EVO and it actually weighed 73kg. Been previously put off by comments of Montesa's weight but now wondering there might not be as much difference as previously thought.
