2004 rev3 Front end rebuild

Featured Replies

Having a nightmare putting the front end back together, it's like an episode of krypton factor..

What order does it go together out of the radiator, exhaust and engine-radiator-engine guard brackets..

All bits in the  picture..

Kind rgds

I'm going to say...exhaust goes on last. I think radiator second, frame first.

Going to try that, t's about the only way I haven't tried

Cheers Jamie

Hi

You may find that, with the bash plate attached, you can't correctly align the bolts at the top of the frame sides.

If so detach front of bash plate and reattach once the frame sides are in place.  You may find you need to apply some upwards force to the plate to get the bolts to align correctly.

Good luck!

"some upwards force"

Could be an understatement if the bash plate is deformed much.  If you have a hydraulic press, you can straighten some before installation.
